We are excited and humble to receive the endorsement of the European Innovation Council and the SME Executive Agency (EISMEA). The funding package will support further development and commercialization efforts of our revolutionary silicon power interposer technology and a new family of highly miniaturized and efficient power converters.
At EUR 627 million, the EIC Accelerator is the largest funding round from the European Innovation Council ever! The European Commission selected 99 innovative start-ups and SMEs that will receive EU funding to help them bring their promising technologies to the market. Enterprises were chosen following a rigorous process, introduced under Horizon Europe, involving an idea screening stage, assessing applications by external experts and a final interview with the jury of experienced entrepreneurs and investors.
The EIC Accelerator offers start-ups and SMEs grants combined with equity investments through the EIC Fund. In addition to financial support, all projects benefit from a range of Business Acceleration Services that provide access to leading expertise, corporates, investors and ecosystem actors. The European Innovation Council (EIC) promotes innovative and strategic technology with scale-up potential at the global level. It focuses on breakthrough, DeepTech and disruptive innovation, targeting especially market-creating innovation.
Lotus Microsystems was founded in late 2020, based on research carried at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Since then, it has been on a super-fast growth trajectory and the EIC funding represents a significant milestone on the company’s journey. Our team is pleased that our innovative integration technology and overall development have been recognized. We believe Lotus Microsystems could become the leading technology player within power management in the booming global semiconductor market and make a significant contribution to the sustainability profile of the industry.
